  BRUNSWICK — Before handing over the shiny plaque to recognize and celebrate Mid Coast Hospital's designation as a "Preferred Tier 1 Hospital" by the Maine State Employee Health Commission, the commission's executive director Frank Johnson described the hospital as one of an "elite group" among the state's hospitals."
