 Mere
Point Nursing Center is a state licensed 21-bed nursing residence
with semi-private and private rooms in Brunswick, Maine. It
has a long history of providing the highest level of professional
and compassionate nursing services with dignity and respect.
Mere Point is served by the Mid Coast Senior Health Center
Medical Director, a geriatrician, and Nurse Practitioner;
around the clock, seven days, licensed medical staff; and
a social worker to assist families. Hospice services are also
available.
Residents of Mere Point enjoy delicious meals presented on
linen-covered tables in a lovely dining room, served to accommodate
special dietary needs. Our activities coordinator is dedicated
to enriching the hearts and minds of residents through personal
attention to special interests, which may involve live music,
popular movies, working puzzles or playing bingo, discussing
current events, and hosting guest speakers. Residents enjoy
frequent pet therapy visits.
A lovely living room decorated with comfortable colors, attractive
artwork and hardwood floors enhance the home-like atmosphere.
Mere Point residents also receive therapy as needed from
our in-house therapy services:
- Physical Therapy (PT)
- Physical therapists specialize in movement and function
as it relates to strength and mobility.
- Occupational Therapy (OT)
- Occupational therapists are experts at the essential
activities of daily living (eating, dressing, bathing,
household or work-related tasks).
- Speech Therapy (ST)
- Speech/language pathologists focus on language, voice
and speech disorders, the mechanics of swallowing and
cognitive function.
Mere Point accepts Maine Care as well as private pay residents.
